  • Add 100 Pa to the pressure drop of the clean filter.
  • 3x higher than the pressure drop of the clean filter.

Max. final pressure drop 200 Pa

The YGLA Sideband filter is an energy-efficient compact air filter designed for ventilation and air handling systems where low pressure drop, stable performance and reliable construction are required.

Unlike a conventional fully framed compact filter, the Sideband construction leaves two edges of the pleated filter media open. This increases the exposed filtration area and allows air to pass through the filter with less resistance, supporting lower pressure drop and reduced fan energy consumption.

ADVANTAGES:

  • Large exposed filtration area

  • Low pressure drop

  • High dust-holding capacity

  • Controlled and stable pleat spacing

  • Rigid Fiberplast construction

  • Consistent filter tightness

  • Fully water-resistant construction

  • Custom dimensions up to 650 × 650 mm

  • VDI 6022 compliant

CONTROLLED PLEAT SPACING

Special separators keep the pleats open and evenly spaced throughout the filter's service life. This prevents the pleats from collapsing or touching each other as dust accumulates, helping maintain stable airflow and limiting increases in pressure drop.

The controlled pleat geometry also supports more even dust loading, higher dust-holding capacity and more stable operation of the air handling unit.

ENERGY-EFFICIENT DESIGN

Two open media edges expose a larger proportion of the filtration surface directly to the incoming airflow. Combined with stable pleat spacing, this helps reduce airflow resistance and the energy required by the ventilation system fan.

The design is therefore particularly suitable for applications where reducing HVAC energy consumption and maintaining stable filter performance over its service life are important.

RIGID AND RELIABLE CONSTRUCTION

The filter uses a durable Fiberplast frame that provides greater rigidity than conventional automotive-type sideband constructions. The stable frame helps prevent deformation during handling, installation and operation while allowing the production of custom dimensions up to 650 × 650 mm.

Precise automated assembly ensures consistent construction and tightness, helping prevent dust leakage and protecting downstream air handling unit components.

FILTER MEDIA

The Sideband filter uses water-resistant synthetic filter media suitable for demanding HVAC applications. Combined with the moisture-resistant Fiberplast frame, the construction is fully water-resistant and suitable for hygienic ventilation applications.

How to correctly measure compact filters?

  • Place the filter in the same position as shown in the picture.
  • Record the measurements in the following order (do not mix them up): B (width) × H (height) × C (depth) mm.

We also manufacture filters with custom dimensions.
